Case Study. 1940's Weatherboard House with an iron roof. First house purchase by a young couple. Home had been renovated prior to sale but the house had little to no insulation although did had d/glazing. The HeatPump was struggling, the house was extremely cold and had terrible condensation. New owners were told the underfloor and ceiling were too low to insulate. Christchurch Insulation installed a top up layer of R3.6 fiberglass in the ceiling and after cutting another manhole managed to insulate 50% of the underfloor with R2.0 Polyester. GVB was also laid. Additionally we installed a SAYR Ventilation System and an extractor fan. The oners have reported the house is now dry, no condensation and the heatpump is heating a far larger area. The electricity bill also has come down even though the house is significantly warmer. The clients were so happy they left a glowing Google review.

Nick came around to our home and provided honest, upfront advice on the best way to insulate our house. We originally thought we would go down one particular path, but Nick explained that it wasn’t going to be the best option and recommended a cheaper and more effective alternative. Our house was built in 1960 and had no insulation, so we ended up getting underfloor insulation, roof insulation, and a home ventilation system through Christchurch Insulation. The difference has been incredible, our home used to be around 5°C inside during the winter months, and now it averages around 18°C. We couldn’t be happier with the result. The installers were super friendly to deal with on the day and did a fantastic job. Aileen, the Office Manager, was also absolutely fantastic to deal with, with great communication throughout the whole process. We would definitely use Christchurch Insulation again in the future and highly recommend them.

Case Study. 1960's Brick House with Tile Roof. Clients complained house was bitterly cold and required insulation. Assessment showed old insulfluff in the roof and nothing underneath. House was also extremely damp. Christchurch Insulation fitted 2 x layers of R3.6 Fiberglass in the ceiling and R2.0 Polyester underfloor. A SAYR Ventilation system was also installed. Clients were so impressed with the result they left a glowing Google review. The log burner now heats the whole house, zero condensation and they can leave doors open through the house. No more heating room by room.

Northcote

Case Study. 1950's Brick House with Tile Roof. House had undergone an extensive renovation with a large Heatpump but was uneven in temperatures and had a very cold end bedroom. Christchurch Insulation was able to access the Warmer Kiwi Homes subsidy for him and insulated the ceiling with R4.1 Polyester and 2.0 Polyester for underfloor. A ground vapor barrier was also installed. A heat transfer system and 2nd large heatpump was able to be installed with the money he saved on the subsidy. The house is now even throughout in temperature and his electricity bill has substantially dropped.
