Insulfluff & Loosefill Removal

Our Industrial Vacuum sucks it all out and makes your roof squeaky clean

Insulfluff is 60 years old macerated newspaper

Over time the insulfuff compacts and completely loses it's effectiveness. Looks like poridge in the roof and absolutely gets everywhere, considered by most homeowners and DIYers to be an absolute pita. It is often an electrical fire hazard in houses with retrofitted downlights. The dust can also create health and respiratory challenges.

Loosefill insulation is tiny bits of loose fiberglass

Is not reccomended or endorsed for any roof cavity that has enough space to install a batts type product. This is due to airflow moving the loose bits around which can create electrical hazards, low spots of insulation and in lots of situations, touch the roofing which can then wick moisture into the roof cavity. A big building code nono.

A household vacuum cleaner is not suitable

Unfortunately a typical household vacuum cleaner is not suitable to suck this stuff up. The filters clog almost instantly and the old school method was to get a spade and scoop the stuff out in buckets. It's ridiculously messy and the dust clouds that form pose a real challenge.

We have the POWER!!

Christchurch Insulation has invested in an industrial purpose built vacuum for removing insulfluff and loosefill fiberglass. We can remove and clean a standard size roof cavity in a couple hours. With 30 meters of hose we can even leave the machine outside stopping any dust escaping into your home.
